Based in Toronto, I am a retired Automotive Executive who now dedicates time to Community Service and my hobbies one of which is photography. When I capture an image, it’s always with the immortal words of Ansel Adams in mind, “You don’t make a photograph just with a camera. You bring to the act of photography to all the pictures you have seen, the books you have read, the music you have heard, the people you have loved.”
My genre of choice is landscapes, which arguably is one of the most difficult as the Photographer has to accept the scene, the light, the shadows, and all that lies within the field of view without the ability to adjust anything ….. and then evoke an emotion from the audience. A photograph captures a moment in time that’s gone forever and impossible to reproduce.
Being fortunate to have traveled relatively extensively, and having made a thousand photography mistakes, I eventually learned that the earth is art, and the Photographer is only a witness.
My hope is that my expressions of art will bring pleasure to you and those with whom you share these unique pieces.
